The Stroller Arrives!

We got the first pieces of our new Teutonia stroller from the Ellen show today!  The chassis and the bassinet piece -- we like it -- not sure if Mia does though.

"Coming Out" at Work

With the good results from our Phoenix trip and us nearing the end of the first trimester, we thought it was time to tell everyone at work and our friends in Flagstaff.  We decided the best way to do this was with t-shirts that we made ourselves with Illustrator and iron-ons!

Our Second Ultrasound

We had our first ultrasound at 9 weeks here in Flag, but we only got print-outs of the baby, which I haven't scanned in yet.  At around 12 weeks we decided to have a nuchal scan and trisomy screen to determine our risk factors for Down's syndrome and other genetic defects.  To do this we had to go to a women's center in Phoenix, but they gave us a CD of images from the high-tech ultrasound.  Below are some of the better ones where you can tell it's a baby and not a puppy!  :-) A few days later they called us with our results and it was all good news: our chance of Down's went to 1/6280 and our chances for the other trisomies went to 1/10,000.  Oh, and even though it is early, they can make a guess on the gender; they guessed girl, but only time will tell!
